Controls Technician Needed

The YPS Team is currently seeking skilled Controls Technicians to serve the Austin and San Antonio areas. Candidates must be able to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities and have the qualifications listed below:

      Duties & Responsibilities

·         Perform service, start-ups, repairs, and trouble-shooting of building environment control systems

·         Perform preventative maintenance service as part of service agreements, periodic inspections, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers

·         Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair

·         Provides technical support and basic training to customers

·         Available for occasional after hour and weekend shifts for after hour service

       Qualifications

·         Ideally technologists diploma in Electronics, Process Control, Building Automation or equivalent

·         Minimum 3 years experience working with building automation systems

·         Familiarity with Line Code and Logical Programming for DDC Systems

·         Experience with Reliable Controls, Andover Controls, CSI and/or Alerton a plus

·         Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans or other technical documents

·         Good working knowledge of the operation, installation and servicing of peripheral devices

·         Troubleshooting and problem solving skills

·         Ability to diagnose problems and implement cost effective solutions

·         A commitment to excellence in customer service

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision
